From England, With Love

Sportswear brand Umbro, the official technical kit partner of England Rugby, has revealed the home and alternate kits that will be worn by the men's teams at Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.

‘From England, With Love’ is born from the devotion shown by fans of England Rugby, whether watching at home or travelling to the tournament. Fans in the stands and players on the pitch share the same passion for the shirt and country.

[Below from L to R] Marcus Smith, Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, Courtney Lawes, Ellis Genge, and Freddie Steward pose in the home and alternate shirts in front of the flags of all the English counties, to represent the communities who support the national team and also where players are from.

Both home and alternate kits feature contoured anatomical knit panelling and a structure that moves with the body, giving players a feeling of power and confidence in their performance. The crisp white of the home shirt emphasises muscular biomechanics, while the rich navy alternate shirt provides a regal aesthetic.

England vice-captain Ellis Genge said: “Every time we wear the rose, whether it’s in training or in a game, we play with passion and pride. Playing for your country at a major tournament is a buzz and an honour. We’ll be heading to France fully prepared and can’t wait to give our all for our fans, family and friends.”

Umbro have also created new strips for England Women. The Red Roses home and alternate kits feature a fresh look that complements the men's strips. The bespoke design embodies the strength and fight in the team. A clean aesthetic amplified with a bold and striking graphic born from the DNA of the team and derived from the 'thorns' protecting the rose - angular, aggressive, and powerful.

Prop Sarah Bern commented: "Having a kit that we feel confident in is key to putting in our best performances on and off the pitch. We're looking forward to seeing fans cheer us on wearing our bespoke Red Roses kit this year, as we build towards our home tournament in 2025.”
